Whether you know exactly what you want and just need some help making it all come together, or you have no idea how or where to get started, we can help. As consultants, we assist with venue and vendor selection and price negotiations, develop a budget, create a master task list and timetable, generate floor plans and layouts, and offer a variety of "tips and tricks" on how to plan and produce a successful event. As event managers, we take an active role in executing these plans, managing the overall event coordination, and ensuring that every detail is handled promptly and professionally. As on-site directors, we make sure that everything goes off like clockwork, interface with venue staff and third party vendors, supervise and troubleshoot, allowing you to interact freely with your guests. For weddings, our role as on-site directors also includes planning, organizing and conducting the rehearsal.

Floral Design and Wedding Decor

Flowers are such a key element for any special event, especially a wedding. They set the mood and bring things to life. From bridal bouquets to centerpieces, from traditional to contemporary, we can design and arrange the perfect floral complement for you. Michael Isley, for many years one of the premier designers in Charleston, SC, is a master creator of beautiful arrangements with both live and silk flowers. We also have many standard design elements and props on-hand to complete the look of your wedding or special event, including columns, arches, vases, containers, and fabrics in a variety of styles and colors. We can create or source any other props and decor accessories needed to make your special occasion a truly memorable and beautiful experience for you and your guests. LIVE MUSIC: We can provide organ or piano music for weddings or any other event, even in outdoor venues, as well as vocal soloists. We are highly versatile in various music styles and genres, with an extensive repertoire ranging from traditional to contemporary and anything in between. We can recommend musical pieces to fit the style of any occasion, or we can perform specific numbers as requested by our clients. Through our extensive network of musicians, we can also provide nearly any other combination of instrumentation for your event, from string trios to bagpipes to guitar to any other solo wind or brass instrumentalists. For receptions and dances, we can find the band or group that's right for your budget and your style.

RECORDED MUSIC: Our selection of recorded music is also both extensive and varied. Depending on the event, we can record, mix and edit music for specific needs. We provide DJ services for dancing and/or KJ services for Karaoke. We can also Emcee your program, and even create the script based on your input. We will generate a playlist, or provide specific songs as requested.

SOUND: We have our own in-house equipment to support the services listed above, including a soundboard with powered amp & mixer, speakers, audio and video monitors, corded and cordless microphones and stands, wireless lapel microphones, multi-disc CD player/changer, and laptop computer. In addition to music, we can provide other sound services, such as amplifying wedding officiants or other featured speakers.

VIDEO SLIDE PRODUCTION
Let us create an animated, video slide show of memories for your event. This is an ideal way to share and display a "scrapbook" of photographs for rehearsal dinners, receptions, anniversaries, retirement parties, or any other special occasion. This is also a popular way of bringing wedding photographs to life after a couple's special day. Using photographs or digital images provided by the client, we produce an engaging presentation that adds motion, sound, animation and text. We also have a 32" wide screen flat panel monitor to display the presentation.

For any goods or services we don't provide in-house, On Occasion has a network of associate vendors in the special events and hospitality industry we can access for any other event needs. This includes photography and videography; invitations and other printed materials; event venues and catering; gifts and mementos; transportation, travel and hotel services; rental items, including tents, tables, chairs as well as other furnishings and accessories, and anything else needed to ensure a successful event. Because of our ongoing business relationship with our vendor partners, we can negotiate favorable rates and manage all the details of sourcing through third party suppliers, or we can refer you to the appropriate sources based on your budget and specific needs.
